First off, you should know that from the year 2000 until the 2006,
when I decided to usurp this site for
my personal portfolio,
it had been strictly used for banal frivolity.
Secondly, if you aren't acquainted with the works of the late J.R.R. Tolkien,
or don't know by now what a Hobbit is, you should click here !
And read "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy!"
The History of Hobbitdance:
One day while relaxing at the last homely website
(a now defunct and missed Tolkien community) of Imladris,
I posed this question to a dear friend:
"Why are there dancing hamsters, but no dancing hobbits?"
"Are you KIDDING??! Don't you remember what happened
the last time a hobbit danced?? No one was the same after that!!"
she rebuked me, while recalling the adventures of a certain silly Mr. Underhill,
a Prancing Pony, and the Man in the Moon.
This occasion inspired me to create a place for Hobbit dancers
and their friends (such as you might see at this place), to cut a piece of rug,
unencumbered by EVIL RINGS, and ridgid social convention.
Helped along by elf-friend and astute musician Mick O'Nakagawa - the
composer of the wonderful hobbit dance music - and the unofficial good
thoughts and warm wishes of friends and family, I have hopefully
made a place of fun for everyone to enjoy!
